While it is technically true that “we are all worthy of love” and that “no one is better than anyone else”, our own behavior is a reflection of our beliefs around worthiness. I define a league as a group of people who can be honest with each other. In my experience, people who misrepresent themselves do so because they believe the truth is not good enough. They believe that they are not worthy of a relationship the way they are. Thus, when I misrepresent myself, I am effectively saying that a potential mate is out of my league.
